what is the god of Tantra?
Tantra does not have a specific God (or Goddess) that is worshipped as a "deity". It is the life force energy that, when channeled unobstructed through the energy channels of the body, that is the "god" that is acknowledged. This energy has its source within each sentient being whether plant, insect, or animal. If you are a female then this energy manifests through you as the female form of god. If you are a male, the energy manifests through you as male. This is an oversimplification as the energy itself is genderless.

It is unfortunate when an individual or group decides what that "god" or "goddess" is for them and places that conceptually between the material body and the sensation, or the material body and the expression.
Many religions do just that, Many religions dictate how you are to behave in order to be "acceptable" to god, or they dictate how an individual should perceive their world.
This is the crux of the religion that people despise and that causes them to miss the joy and bliss of the life energy.
